New searches, carried out by NAC officers in the land appropriation case in Podgorenilor street, Chisinau municipality with an area of 7.9 ha, worth over 10 million lei

The NAC officers and Chisinau municipality prosecutors this morning conducted searches at several addresses in Chisinau municipality and the northern districts of the country, in the case of land appropriation in Podgorenilor street, Chisinau municipality with a total area of 7.9 ha, worth over 10 million lei. The investigated persons are former administrators of enterprises involved in the illegal actions, which were later re-registered as registered persons domiciled in the Transnistrian region.

According to the investigated facts, during the years 2013-2014, a group of people, acting jointly with public figures from the Chisinau City Hall and OCT Cadastre, pursuing the goal of illicit acquisition of goods with public property status, used a court decision which contained obviously false data (alleged to be issued in 2013), according to which the validity of sales-purchase contracts allegedly concluded between Chisinau Municipality City Hall and a company registered in an off-shore area, as well as other companies from the country, was recognized. This decision was used for the appropriation of lands with a total area of 7.9 ha that were previously transferred to the use of the Joint Stock Company "CZOM", later renamed to SA "SUCCIN".

As part of the procedural actions carried out by the NAC officers on 11.04.2024 under the management of the Chisinau Municipal Prosecutor's Office, 4 searches were carried out as a result of which objects and documents relevant to the criminal case were seized.

We remind that a month ago, the NAC officers carried out criminal investigation actions on the case of appropriation of land in the municipality of Chisinau, during which 4 people involved in illegal actions were detained.
