The director of a kindergarten in the municipality of Chisinau, denounced to the NAC for charging illegal fees from parents

Head of kindergarten no. 32 from the Ciocana sector of the capital was detained by the NAC officers in a corruption case, following a complaint. According to the investigated facts, the headmistress, being in her work office, would have claimed and received from the parents of two children money that is not due to her in the amount of 3000 lei from each of them for the registration of the children.

According to the complaint, the suspect would have charged the mentioned amount (a total of 6,000 lei) in exchange for bypassing the legal procedures for enrolling the children in the institution, specifying at the same time that the donation would be a voluntary one. According to the parents, the money collected would have been directed to carry out some repair work and arrangement of the kindergarten.

Following the actions taken by the NAC under the procedural leadership of the Chisinau Municipal Prosecutor's Office, the sum of 6,000 lei was raised and transferred under the control of the NAC. The suspect was detained for 72 hours and placed in solitary confinement.
