Several MPs have visited the National Anticorruption Center today
01.02.2022 2860 ViewsThe Members of Parliament from the National Security, Defense and Public Order Committee have paid the visit the National Anticorruption Center today. The MPs heard the activity report of the NAC for 2021 and discussed with the heads of the main directorates of the institution the Action Plan of the Center for the current year.
During the meeting, a number of topics was addressed to fortify the component of curbing and preventing corruption, as well as that criminal investigation and criminal assets recovery. The NAC officers presented several draft laws, that are to be discussed in the Parliament, aimed at strengthening institutional capacities of the NAC.
In their turn, the MPs expressed the openness to support the NAC efforts to consolidate the capacities of preventing and combatting corruption, to fortify the expertise tools of the legislative acts and professional integrity testing. Therefore, the members of the delegation are to analyze the perspective of some legislation amendments that will aim to make the Center more efficient in its actions.
The visit lasted over 3 hours, during which the MPs toured the NAC, including the Guard Unit, where the calls are received to the National Anticorruption Hotline, to the Detention Center, where they checked the conditions of detention and at the test office with the simulation-based behavior detector.
