NAC and APO conduct searches in Calarasi district in an electoral corruption case

Officers of the National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC), in collaboration with prosecutors from the Anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office (APO), are conducting procedural actions in Calarasi district, in a criminal case involving voter corruption. According to the evidence administered so far, several representatives affiliated with political parties, responsible for electoral activity in localities in the district, are suspected of being involved in recruiting voters, offering them money, goods, services or other benefits in exchange for supporting a certain political party and exercising their vote in a certain way.
The actions carried out by the NAC officers, under the procedural leadership of the anti-corruption prosecutors, are taking place in several localities in the Călărași district, with the aim of identifying all the persons involved, documenting the facts and holding them criminally liable.
