NAC and prosecutors conducted searches in Glodeni and Dondușeni in a case of electoral corruption, money laundering and illegal financing of political parties. 7 people are targeted

The National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC), jointly with prosecutors from the Bălți Municipal Prosecutor's Office, conducted criminal investigation actions in Glodeni and Dondușeni. The actions took place in a case concerning electoral corruption, money laundering and illegal financing of political parties.

During the investigations, suspicious activities involving unjustified transfers and payments were documented, used to illegally support political formations. At the current stage, 7 people are targeted in the investigations of anti-corruption officers. Following the searches, bank cards (PSB), mobile phones, information carriers and monetary means were seized.

Investigations continue to identify all connections and prove the facts. The NAC reminds that any person shall be presumed innocent until a final and irrevocable court decision is rendered.
