The NAC anti-corruption volunteers represented the Republic of Moldova at the International Collective Action Conference (ICAC 2026)

Voluntarii anticorupție ai CNA au reprezentat Republica Moldova la Conferința Internațională a Acțiunii Colective (ICAC 2026)

A group of anti-corruption volunteers from the National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC) represented the Republic of Moldova at the International Collective Action Conference (ICAC 2026), held in Basel, Switzerland, from June 8 to 11. As part of the “Youth Against Corruption Exchange” program, the young people presented the NAC Anti-corruption Volunteers Platform and the projects developed, such as the “Pro-Integrity Quiz”, the “Anti-corruption Café” and the “Generation of Integrity” Weekend School. They had the opportunity to exchange experiences with experts and young people from other countries, involved in similar activities.

According to the Head of the Anti-corruption Education Department of the NAC, Grigore Lupașcu, this experience offered the volunteers the opportunity to represent the Republic of Moldova in an international framework, to promote the good practices developed by the NAC and to take over valuable experiences for the consolidation of anti-corruption education activities. “Participation in ICAC 2026 contributed to the consolidation of international cooperation in the field of corruption prevention and highlighted the important role of young people in promoting integrity, transparency and civic responsibility,” said the anti-corruption officer who accompanied the group of volunteers to the event.

The study visit organized at the Basel Institute for Good Governance was possible thanks to the support provided by the OSCE, within the framework of the cooperation partnership with the NAC for the promotion of integrity and the involvement of young people in the prevention of corruption.

We remind that the NAC implements the Anti-corruption Volunteer Program in accordance with national standards in the field of volunteering, having been accredited since 2016. Currently, about 70 active volunteers contribute to the promotion of integrity and anti-corruption values at the national level. In 2020, the NAC was nominated at the National Volunteer Festival as the most active host institution in volunteering activity.

To become an anti-corruption volunteer of the NAC, you must apply in the selection competitions launched periodically by the institution. Recruitments are organized by the NAC Anti-corruption Education Directorate and are addressed to students (from 14 years old) and students from the Republic of Moldova.
