NAC has trained over 500 people in several information and awareness-raising campaigns in Ocnița and Leova
Officers of the Anti-corruption Education Directorate of the National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC) have conducted 11 trainings this week as part of the national campaign “I Decide with Integrity – I Vote with Accountability” in the districts of Ocnița and Leova. The NAC experts met with mayors and representatives of local authorities, directors of educational institutions, as well as heads of local services and talked about voter corruption, combating electoral fraud and mechanisms for reporting corruption cases. The campaign aims to promote transparency and accountability in the electoral process in the Republic of Moldova.
The “Integrity for Health” campaign, carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Health (MoH)-CNAS-AO HOMECARE, was also continued. The trainings brought together the managers of medical institutions and the medical staff from the Ocnița District Hospital and the Leova District Hospital.
During the reference period, the NAC officers conducted the training course "Ethics and Institutional Integrity" for the leading civil servants from local public authorities provided within the Institute of Public Administration, USM, as well as for the public agents of Penitentiary 3 in Leova. During the meetings, measures to ensure institutional integrity, strengthen the climate of institutional and professional integrity, but also increase the degree of responsibility in the process of performing work activities were addressed.
We recall that the purpose of the activities carried out by the NAC officers on the corruption prevention component are oriented towards cultivating and strengthening the climate of institutional integrity, by promoting anti-corruption and integrity policies.
