NAC launches Anti-Corruption Week on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day and announces several events
The National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC) announces the launch of the anti-corruption week and the organization of several events on the anti-corruption prevention and education component. The activities are occasioned by the marking, on December 9, of the International Anti-Corruption Day, and their purpose is to increase the degree of awareness and responsibility in society and among young people regarding the risks and impact generated by the phenomenon of corruption.
This year's anti-corruption week begins on Tuesday, December 9, with a meeting with the Centre’s development partners, after which, throughout the day, anti-corruption officers will hold an informative session entitled "Integrity for Good Governance" for deputies and members of the Parliament's secretariat. The event will take place in the plenary hall of the Legislature.
On the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day, two NAC officers, accompanied by a group of anti-corruption volunteers, will participate in a thematic training at the International Anti-Corruption Academy IACA in Austria. On December 10, NAC volunteers will organize an information session in Vienna as part of the Anti-Corruption Conference, held under the auspices of the OSCE.
The Open Day will be organized this year for several pupils and students. Visitors will talk to anti-corruption officers, participate in information sessions and take a tour of the institution.
The week will end with the organization of an Anti-Corruption Café for young people. Through this action, the NAC aims to draw attention to the fact that the fight against corruption requires a joint effort, and its success depends on each of us.
Every year, the Republic of Moldova celebrates International Anti-Corruption Day through events that aim to bring to society's attention the progress, but also the challenges, of public authorities in combating and preventing corruption.
