The National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC) hosted the visit of a delegation of the European Parliament, led by Sven Mikser, rapporteur for the Republic of Moldova within the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET). The objective of the meeting was to assess the progress made in the implementation of anti-corruption reforms, essential for advancing the European integration agenda. In this context, the NAC leadership presented the measures taken to prevent and combat corruption, as well as the actions aimed at recovering criminal assets.

A distinct topic of the discussions was the fight against electoral corruption, highlighting the role of the institution in investigating these cases and ensuring the integrity of democratic processes. At the same time, the dialogue emphasized the importance of cooperation with European partners in the process of strengthening the rule of law and aligning with European Union standards. The support provided by the European institutions remains essential for sustaining reforms and for the European path of the Republic of Moldova.

The visit reconfirms the joint commitment to deepening institutional dialogue and continuing efforts in the field of preventing and combating corruption.
