NAC opened its doors to 50 students in the context of Anti-Corruption Week
The National Anti-Corruption Center (NAC) hosted the visit of about 50 students from the Public Institution “Mircea Eliade” Theoretical High School and the European Law Students Association (ELSA), in the context of Anti-Corruption Week. The event aimed to familiarize young people with the mandate of the institution and with the mechanisms for preventing and combating corruption.
The young people participated in an informative session held by officers of the NAC’s Anti-Corruption Education Directorate (DEA), in which the mission, legal attributions and operational tools of the institution were presented. The discussions were interactive, reflecting the participants’ increased interest in understanding institutional processes and their role in society. The program continued at the Guard Unit, where visitors were able to observe the functioning of the National Anticorruption Line (0800 55555), becoming familiar with the procedures for receiving, registering and examining complaints submitted by citizens.
In the final part of the visit, pupils and students had a meeting with representatives of the intervention team, the NAC masked officers, who presented the specifics of the operative activity, the types of missions carried out and the equipment used in the field. The demonstration of tactical equipment and technique gave the young people a clear picture of the level of training and professionalism required in such operations.
NAC reaffirms its commitment to continue educational and information activities among young people, thus contributing to the formation of a responsible generation involved in the prevention of corruption.
