Three authorized administrators detained by the National Anti-corruption Centre and prosecutors, suspected of fictitious bankruptcy of companies and their takeover through raider-type actions
The National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC).and the prosecutors of the municipality of Balti have announced the detention of three authorized administrators in cases of abuse of office and influence peddling. They are suspected of fictitious bankruptcy of companies and the takeover of their assets through raider-type actions.
According to the criminal investigation materials, the three authorized administrators allegedly acted in concert within a well-determined scheme to take over the assets of companies from different regions of the country. Pursuing criminal intent and material interest, they induced the companies into fictitious insolvency, after which they appointed authorized administrators who applied various abusive measures, such as the prohibition of alienation of pseudo-debtors' assets and the invocation of alleged debts that resulted in their artificial increase. As a result, the suspects took possession of all the goods and assets owned by these companies.
Today, the NAC officers, under the procedural leadership of the Bălţi Municipal Prosecutor's Office, conducted 19 searches in the municipality of Chişinău on 10 people, including 3 authorized administrators, employees of authorized administrators and economic agents. At the moment, 3 authorized administrators were detained for 72 hours and were placed in the NAC Detention Centre.
