In the context of the International Anti-Corruption Week, the anti-corruption officers of the National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC), together with a group of anti-corruption volunteers, participated in the OSCE Conference dedicated to the International Anti-Corruption Day, held in Vienna, under the theme "Mechanisms against Corruption: Evolving Challenges and Opportunities".

The event brought together representatives of international organizations, anti-corruption institutions from the OSCE region, experts and decision-makers, providing a broad framework for analysing current trends in the field of preventing and combating corruption. The NAC officers presented at the conference the Anti-corruption Volunteer Program, an institutional model that involves young people in education, information and integrity promotion activities at the national level.

In their interventions during the thematic sessions, the NAC officers highlighted the contribution of volunteers in the development and implementation of anti-corruption educational initiatives, as well as their role in disseminating integrity messages to communities, educational institutions and other target groups. In turn, the volunteers presented the best practices, projects and educational tools developed by the Anti-corruption Education Directorate in partnership with anti-corruption volunteers, including information campaigns, training activities, interactive projects and programs aimed at strengthening the culture of integrity among young people.

The NAC’s participation in the OSCE conference was an opportunity to promote the experience of the Republic of Moldova in the field of anti-corruption education, to strengthen international cooperation and to reaffirm the institution’s commitment to developing effective mechanisms for preventing corruption, especially through the involvement of young people.

The event is part of the series of activities organized by the NAC during Anti-Corruption Week, a period in which the institution carries out multiple actions to educate, raise awareness and strengthen integrity at the national level.
