Bribe – 2,000 euros: A man from Chisinau was caught red-handed by the NAC and prosecutors for influence peddling

Officers of the National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC), under the procedural leadership of the Chisinau municipality Prosecutor’s Office, have caught red-handed a man from the capital, suspected of influence peddling.

According to preliminary data, he allegedly demanded and received money from a person involved in an enforcement procedure, claiming that he could influence a bailiff to adopt a favorable decision.

The documentary actions were carried out by the NAC and prosecutors, and as a result of the arrest, 2,000 euros and other evidence relevant to the case were seized. Currently, investigative measures are being taken to identify all the people involved and establish the entire criminal scheme.
