Un instructor auto din Orhei, cercetat de CNA și procurori într-un dosar de trafic de influență

A driving instructor from a driving school in Orhei is being investigated by officers of the National Anti-corruption Centre and prosecutors from the Bălți Prosecutor's Office in a criminal case of influence peddling. He is suspected of having demanded and received illicit financial means from two candidates to facilitate his obtaining of driving licenses.

According to the case materials, the driving instructor allegedly demanded 600 euros each from two candidates, for a total amount of 1,200 euros, claiming that he had influence over employees of the Orhei Vehicle Registration and Driver Documentation Section of the Public Services Agency and that he could induce them to favor passing the practical test of the driving license exam. The transfer of the funds took place under the control of anticorruption officers.

Today, the NAC officers conducted searches at the suspect's home and car, as a result of which relevant evidence for the criminal case was seized. The suspect was detained for 72 hours and placed in the NAC's detention centre. The criminal investigation continues to establish all the circumstances of the case and identify all the people involved.

We would like to point out that every person shall benefit from the presumption of innocence until a final and irrevocable court decision is issued.
