Synthesis of the week/ Employees of the National Army, the Ministry of Interior and the National Bank of Moldova, trained by the NAC. Over 800 people benefited from anti-corruption sessions
This week, the National Anti-corruption Centre launched the information and awareness-raising campaign "Integrity and Honor in the Service of the Fatherland" in partnership with the Ministry of Defence. The purpose of the campaign is to promote integrity and transparency among the military and civilian personnel of the units of the Ministry of Defence and its subdivisions, create an organizational culture based on respect for the law and prevent acts of corruption and corruption-related acts.
The first training activity was organized for employees of the Central Apparatus of the Ministry of Defence, the Defence General Staff, the Consultative-Diagnostic Centre, the General Staff Regiment and the Central Military Clinical Hospital. The session presented the Centre’s responsibilities in preventing and combating corruption, integrity and anti-corruption standards, integrity control mechanisms in the public sector, as well as the role of managers in promoting institutional integrity.
Also, as part of the information campaign in the field of defence, an anti-corruption information session was organized for the teaching staff of the Military Academy of the Armed Forces. At the same time, the Academy's students participated in the educational anti-corruption game Quiz Pro Integrity, an activity that aimed to consolidate knowledge in the field of integrity, develop the ability to identify corruption risks, as well as raise awareness of their negative impact on national security and the image of the institution.
As part of the campaign, anti-corruption volunteers were involved in information activities, by distributing information materials, contributing to promoting the culture of integrity and providing information on the mechanisms for denouncing acts of corruption.
The Anti-Corruption Education Directorate continued the implementation of the information and awareness-raising campaign "Integrity for a Safe Society", intended for employees of the Central Apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Internal Protection and Anti-Corruption Service, the Information Technology Service, the Operational Management Inspectorate, presenting integrity policies, control mechanisms in the public sector and liability for lack of integrity.
An information session was also organized for employees of the National Bank of Moldova regarding the assurance and control of institutional integrity, corruption risks and integrity control mechanisms in the public sector.
The purpose of the training activities is to consolidate knowledge, develop the skills necessary for the efficient exercise of public office and promote integrity standards, as well as support and facilitate efforts to implement and achieve anti-corruption policies.
